Manuscript.

The collection of posts I withdrew under this label have not been forgotten. I have been toying with an idea concerning most of the characters which will see the light of day again in one form or another.

It takes a long time to put the pieces of the puzzle together but I believe that finally the picture is beginning to take shape. I found myself with a mountain of words on paper in no particular order which I left to fester for a while only to find there was life in the debris after all.

Fancy that.

  2. Ditto Annie. That is kind of the way it often works. However it works, I am pleased that you are working.

  3. Yep. Save everything that you can. Really the Zippo only harms you in the long run. You never know when event that one sentence is the perfect thing for this one particular spot.

  4. I write every idea down Annie and then neglect to go back and re-discover them. I'll come across an old notebook, read through and think 'wow', what a good piece that would make, why didn't I think of it before?'

What can I say, memory of a goldfish.

I'm pleased you're pleased Don. It warms the cockles knowing we are all getting on with something. I've come to realise that I am happiest when in the midst of a project rather than beginning or end.

You're words rang true for me this morning Brad. I had a eureka moment when I should have been paying attention elsewhere,(ain't that the way of it?) As usual, it was staring me in the face. Under my nose. Any closer it would have bitten it off.

  6. Hey Sarah, I can outline whole books, films, short stories etc in my head from beginning to end but when it comes to putting it down on paper...nil point.

You're writing some wonderful stuff, keep it up.
