Here's a few samples of work from some of the lovely people I met. The links for their websites can be found by clicking on their names.

Jackie Ward is a mixed media artist who draws inspiration from found materials and trades under the name of Treehuggery. Based in Brinsley near Ilkeston, her popular work includes creations which evolved from a reel of old bus tickets bought from a car boot sale. Jackie was keen to allow the tickets to tell their own story which soon evolved into quirky pictures including people waiting at bus-stops.
These were closely followed by the now redundant Tax Disk reworked into cyclists. The irony is not lost here by the fact that you don't need to pay road tax if you cycle mingled with the stronger underlying environmental message.
In keeping with the environmental theme, 10% discount is offered to those who arrive at Jackie's studio on foot, pushbike or bus. For those who are not local...the postman is always happy to cycle by.
Other artists at the studio included, Ewan Mathers Photography, Tom Machin jewellery and design and Ev-Rev Design Studio for furniture.
JJ Guitars exhibited an impressive display of 'Handcrafted sonic perfection.' The style and class was exceptional and my Dad, who is a retired Joiner/Carpenter as well as self taught guitarist, took great pleasure in examining the skill and dedication it takes to make one of these unique instruments.
I'll leave you with Jeff who'll tell you more in the video below.
